ASHES & DIAMONDS’ V.1, our inaugural tête de cuvée crafted from the finest vineyards in our portfolio, melds the power of high-elevation Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley’s Mayacamas and Vaca Mountains with the finesse of Merlot and Cabernet Franc from the Ashes & Diamonds estate on the valley floor. Dynamic elevations, volcanic and marine alluvial soil types and varying microclimates drive a complex wine of relentless length. Layering rich, densely-packed dark fruit flavors with savory characteristics of tobacco, cocoa and exotic baking spices, the wine maintains Ashes & Diamonds’ signature vibrancy and freshness, made through the prism of two winemakers—Diana Snowden Seysses and Steve Matthiasson—in their first-ever collaboration.
