ASHES & DIAMONDS’ Cabernet Sauvignon “Vineyard 1" comes from a historic vineyard in the heart of Rutherford, a place that put Napa Valley on the world stage in the 1960s. As an homage to this golden era and its pioneers, we set out to rediscover the wines of the period. We partnered with the grower to farm the grapes in the traditional manner and harvested them at lower Brix, matching the typical ripeness levels from this bygone era. Once in barrel, we blended French and American oak, the predominant method of the time.
